About the Maltipoo Breed
Maltipoos are very loyal and affectionate to their family members. This is because the poodle was bred as a water dog, while the maltese was bred as a lap-dog companion. They do well with tolerating small children but because of its size, it’s important to teach children how they should handle them in order for both parties not to get hurt or worse! Where larger breeds might be able to withstand getting hit by kids without any problems, this could be much more dangerous for such tiny breeds like Maltipoos.
Maltipoos love to spend time with their owners and develop quick associations with obedience training commands due to their desire for positive reinforcement. Although many breeds are very smart, they can have a different agenda and need more time spent having them focused on obeying you.
The Maltipoos are very adaptive to small living spaces like apartments due to their size. Although they need exercise, the Maltipoo is relatively low-energy compared other toy breeds. If it is well socialized early on in its life, however, it will greet visitors when they come over with enthusiasm!
